It is that time of year when you start to see the standard 'Best 50 Songs Of The Year' lists etc. and on such a list (website forgotten) is where I found this little gem from Action Bronson with Chance The Rapper. I don't know how it managed to slip me by because I am a big fan of Chances and try to listen to everything he releases.  I haven't heard much of Bronson but on this track, his verses are really strong and smart and when coupled with the sweet soulful chorus makes for a beautiful cake of a track with the cherry on top being Chances hilarious lines with great visuals to go with them. YouTube Video Of The Week! 14/01/14

There has been a few different contenders for this weeks pick but the winner is Baby Blue by Badfinger. Yes I first heard this track at the end of Breaking Bad and I love it as a song aside from being in the show. It sounds so much seeped in that classic rock era that I really enjoy and it sounds timeless to me. That is probably part of the reason they used it in the show. Super catchy and upbeat and just a song that will put you in a great mood.

YouTube Video Of The Week! 29/10/13

This week I have decided to post a couple of videos just because I have had a hard time deciding which video is better and figured why not just do them both. My first one is Los Campesinos! with a track called Avocado Baby. This is the first I have heard of them since their album We Are Beautiful, We Are Doomed and I really think they have came back very strong. They still have that unique vocals that I remember but they have got a more rock guitar sound which I love. Super catchy and you don't get bored with the rhythm, it stays pumped and driving the whole way through. More of the same please :)

My second video is from an artist called Courtney Barnett. I don't really know a great deal about this Melbourne artist except she makes beautiful songs with simple and yet meaningful lyrics. I found out about her in the latest issue of Q magazine, my favourite music monthly. I really enjoy hearing her accent so clearly in her songs and something about her song writing really makes me sit up and take notice of the words she sings. Definitely hoping for her to produce more great songs like this one.
