Flux Guitars - Double Neck DOTM

Design Of The Month

This is the kind of design that I love, creative, attractive and fully functional. Flux Guitars have recently started an IngieGoGo campaign to fund their uber smart Magnetic Double Neck Guitar  (http://igg.me/at/fluxguitars/x) The magnetic locking system they use for connecting the two guitars makes interchanging and playing the guitars for different modes really easy and simple to do. If the main guitar is connected to the amp, no additional connections need to be made to the secondary guitar for amplification as long as the magnetic connection is there.

Another special thing I really appreciate from the designer is that he is offering the option of buying the larger or smaller guitar as a stand alone instrument and also if you want to switch the 12 string to the smaller guitar and make the larger one a 6 six string, all options seem to be open. If that isn't giving the customer what they want, I don't know what is. Enjoy!

The Go! Team - The Vaccines YTV Double Hitter

20/01/15 YouTube Video

It seems like the music industry is playing catch up from the lull over the festive period. This Monday there has been an influx of great new albums that I have been listening to and many great singles that have been released. Both of these bands have been away for a little while, one slightly longer than the other but both very much welcomed back.

The Go! Team are a band that I have loved for over a decade now with Thunder, Lightning, Strike being one of my first musical purchases. I haven't heard their last album Rolling Blackouts due to my clearly narrow new music feed but I am looking forward to their next one if this track is anything to go by.

What a pleasure it is to hear these boys back in my ear drums. With all this talk of guitar bands fading away this track is what we need to hear. Fun, catchy and right up my street. Keep up the good work Vaccines. Enjoy!

The Go-Betweens - Spring Rain YTV

30/12/14 YouTube Video

With 2015 just a couple of days away I thought I would look back to a song that for me was newly discovered.  Just under 30 years ago The Go-Betweens released the single Spring Rain which was part of the bands 4th studio album. This is the album that I have listened to first from the group but am looking forward to listening to their other albums. Even though they are an Australian band I think they have a Kinksy quality and a British vibe that you can definitely hear in the song below. Enjoy!
